Barry Burkholder
Co-owner

Started his own business after graduating from Penn State University with a BS in Landscape Contracting.  In 1996 Barry and his youngest brother Mark started Burkholder Brothers.  Barry possesses a very extensive knowledge of all aspects of the green industry and business learned both in class and hands on.  Barry enjoys learning and staying in the forefront of landscape, business and technology trends and developments.  “Nothing is better that exceeding our client’s expectations. In the early days, I got satisfaction from installing my designs with my own hands.  Now, I get that same satisfaction knowing I have built and continue to build an awesome team that is empowered to exceed expectations.”  Barry’s role at Burkholder is business planning, sales and operations  management.

Barry is a family guy who enjoys every moment with his wife, 13 year old daughter and 11 year old son.  Barry also enjoys running 40+ miles every week, mountain and road biking, swimming and riding dirt bikes.

Mark Burkholder
Co owner

Graduate of Penn state university with a bachelors degree in lanscape contracting.  I Always appreiated the green industry.  Along with my brother Barry, I grew up working for my fathers business Acme tree service and developed a passion for landscaping.   I learned a lot about proper tree care, landscaping techniques, and professionalism.  My father had a challenging business to operate, but was devoted and a hard worker.  I feel this is why I am so determined to have a successful and professional business.

My role today in our company is management and sales.  Although I primarily am focused on irrigation sales/design I spend a lot of time working on the financial end of the business.  I enjoy all the different projects we do, and really get satisfaction out of having happy customers who are thrilled about the stuff we have done for them.  I  also enjoy the accounting end of our business.

On the personal side I value my family and always enjoy time away from work visiting with family and friends.  I am just recently married and i am looking forward to starting a family of my own.  My hobbies and interest include:  exercising, boating, and anything involving motorcycles.  I was an active motocross racer, but many injuries put a stop to that, at least for the time being.  My wife may have something to say about that, she wasn't to happy about me bringing crutches to our wedding.

Aaron Hall
Project Manager

Aaron Hall is an Account Manager at Burkholder. He received his degree in Business Management from West Chester University in 2002. After receiving his degree and prior to working at Burkholder, Aaron worked in similar environments which helped to build his Account management skills. At Burkholder, Aaron works closely with Mark and Barry to assure that Accounts are managed smoothly and that a client’s needs are met as soon as possible. He manages the crews that perform the duties and jobs for Burkholder. Aaron specializes in troubleshooting, property enhancement, and managing day to day tasks to ensure 100% customer satisfaction. Aaron also participates in ongoing landscape education to stay on top of the most current information. He has strong organizational skills that help us stay up and running. Aaron has a general liking for the outdoors with hobbies and interest that include fly fishing and camping.

Mike Guerin
Account Manager

Mike has been working for Burkholder since the winter of 2009, starting as a foreman.  Mike began landscaping 10 years ago as a summer job while he went to school.  Mike really enjoyed landscaping and since then has worked for a few different companies before coming to Burkholder.  Mike has experience in all aspects of landscaping.   Mike has been promoted into an account manager position, where he will be managing a number of our maintenance accounts.   In Mike’s free time he enjoys playing music, anything from guitar, bass, and piano.   Mike  also enjoys working out at the gym.

Mitchell Lewis

Account Manger & Turf Care Specialist

I worked on a farm for most of my childhood and knew I wanted to have a career where I worked outdoors.  I then began working on a golf course in high school and went to Penn State where I graduated in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in Turfgrass Science.  After graduating I worked as an assistant superintendent at several area country clubs and also ran a small lawn care business before joining Burkholder this spring as their turfcare specialist, I was then promoted to account manager last month.  My approach to managing turf is to provide a quality lawn while also trying to minimize the impact on the environment.  This is done through the use of organic fertilizers and trying to minimize the amount of pesticides used.  I’m always looking to further my education through conferences, university trials and networking with others in my field.  In my free time I enjoy being outdoors, hunting, fishing and I’m a big sports fan. 

Kim Pretti
Executive Office Manager

Kim Pretti is the Executive Office Manager and Irrigation Account Manager at Burkholder Brothers, Inc.  Kim is a native of Delaware County- living here her entire life., She received a business degree from Chubb Keystone now know as Anthem Institute and refresher courses at Widener College, where she worked in the Mechanical Engineering Department.  She left Widener in 2006 when she became pregnant with her 4^th child.

 In August of 2007, She was lucky enough to meet Barry and Mark Burkholder when she decided to go back into the work field full time after working part time in a child care center after her 4^th daughter was born. They needed and Office Manager and she was searching for a rewarding but challenging position where she felt she could make a difference somewhere special.  She knew she found it when she met Barry and Mark and the rest of the Burkholder team.  Along with being the Office Manager- Kim recently became the Irrigation Account Manager- she enjoys the customer contact and the challenges of making sure all customer accounts are properly maintained.

 After hours- Kim has 4 daughters- ranging from 17 – 4 years of age, which keeps her always on her toes and pretty busy.  She recently has become involved in Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation- after a friend of her eldest daughter was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes.  She does fundraisers and The Walk for A Cure for Diabetes.  In any spare time she may find- she likes to create scrapbooks and read.

Craig Wysocki
Project Field Supervisor

Joining Burkholder in 2007, Craig brings over 10 year of hardscaping, masonry and planting experience to our team. Craig’s professionalism and attention to detail is apparent to anyone with whom he interacts. Craig’s positive attitude and leadership is an asset to all and have earned him the respect of his peers and teammates.

Craig is ICPI (Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute) certified which ensures we have access to the industry’s key promotions, guidelines and more. He is passionate about learning and keeping up-to-date with the ever changing world of outdoor living spaces, products and technical applications.

When Craig is not busy creating breathtaking landscapes, he enjoys playing guitar, studying music, bowling and whipping up home cooked Italian meals.

Mike DiMeo
Sales Consultant

Mike DiMeo is the Sales Consultant at Burkholder Brothers Landscape.  Mike handles all aspects of the unique sales process that Burkholder Brothers follows.  Mike has spent the past 15 years in sales and management positions,  including 7 years prior experience in the green industry.  Followed by 6 years in the finance industry.  Mike is very excited to be back in the green industry which he very much enjoys being a part of!  On Mike’s time off and away from Burkholder Brothers he enjoys summer weekends down at his summer shore home.  Mike’s number one passion is serving the community as a volunteer firefighter.  Mike has been a active firefighter for the past 16 years with the West Chester Fire Dept.
