Featured Project - New Patio for a New Home
After getting settled into their newly constructed home in Chadds Ford, PA, Brian and Denise were ready to move their efforts outdoors and begin creating a relaxing oasis in their backyard. As with many new construction properties, their site was a clean slate lacking both hardscaping and softscaping. Therefore, our challenge was to create a sense of space and intimacy within a wide open backyard. To accomplish this we built a two tiered patio with seat walls, thus allowing for two separate entertaining areas: one for grilling and eating, the other for relaxing by the fire. The installation of large trees for privacy screening along with the strategic placement of a stone veneer fireplace helped to soften the landscape while creating a more intimate feeling within the backyard.“We are loving the patio.
